As a photographer, I am most interested in documenting and investigating people and place, using portraiture, landscape, and art based photographic techniques.

My image research work extends to eye-catching fiction and non-fiction book covers, as well as beautiful and informative illustrated picture books; spanning historic and current events, the visual arts, the sciences, music and biography.

My first ever picture research job was for The Redstone Press, my succinct brief; “to find 12 maps of places that don’t exist.” I spent most of that summer in the Reading Room of the British Library, unearthing pictorial treasures and I was immediately fascinated. In 2001 I began a freelance career, while also studying photography at the City of Westminster College. I love working in both disciplines; relishing the opportunities for symbiotic value and variety they bring, to both my clients and my creative work.
